Volunteers are needed every third Wednesday from 9-10:30 am to help out with monthly distribution.

Here are just a few of the ways you can participate:

  • Sort and bag items to prepare food for distribution

  • Register recipients

  • Carry food to recipient's vehicles

By the direction of church council and the pastor, no one will be allowed to work without gloves and masks, maintaining appropriate physical distance from one another and guests.

Donate Now!

Zion Food Pantry is operational strictly from monetary contributions from the Zion congregation and occasional outside business and organizations donations.  It is not a funded item included in the church budget. For decades Zion Food Pantry has been ministering their outreach to the local community surrounding Zion.

Monetary donations submitted to Zion must be designated for "Food Pantry" use. Food item donations are also gratefully accepted. We are prayerful that 2020  will hold consistent support to fulfill this ministry.

ZION FOOD PANTRY

People Helping People

During 2019 Zion Food Pantry distribution supplied close to 1200 individuals  food from this ministry. These families include senior citizens, single parents, unemployed and numerous children.  Most families are from Ferndale and other surrounding communities; but also come from the tri-county area.

Chairperson: Carol Wunderlich

Our partner affiliation with Gleaners Community Food Bank helps each month with the major provision of our food supplies at great cost savings.  Business support includes Hollywood Market Meijer, and the Ferndale CWS/CROP walk.
